How to Make a Homemade Colon Cleanser:

The need for colon cleansing is based on the theory that undigested meat and other foods, medications, and other chemical or substances that we ingest cause a buildup of mucus in the colon. Over time, this accumulation of mucus produces toxins which circulate throughout the body through the bloodstream, ultimately poisoning the body. Symptoms of this autointoxication may include fatigue, low energy, weight gain, and headaches. The reported benefits of proper colon cleansing include strengthening the immune system, improving mental outlook, weight loss, and reducing the risk of colon cancer.

Steps, Tips and Warnings:

Water Enema:

Fill an enema bag with warm purified water.

Insert the enema carefully following the instructions on the enema kit and retain the water for several minutes. Release water into the toilet.

Salt Water Flush:

Warm 1 to 2 qts (.9 to 1.9 l) of pure water first thing in the morning before eating anything.

Add 1 to 2 tbsp. (14.78 to 29.57 ml) sea salt (do not use regular table salt), making the water taste as salty as you can bear.

Pour the water into a container. Drink all at once, as quickly as you can. It is not uncommon to experience mild nausea or a headache. Release as needed over the next few hours.

Vegetable Juices:

Use a juicer to juice fresh, preferably organic, vegetables. Pick a variety of vegetables, including green vegetables that you wouldn’t normally think of drinking, such as celery, broccoli, kale, lettuce, wheatgrass. Add carrots and apples to improve the taste of green juices.

Psyllium and Bentonite Clay

Mix 1 tsp. (4.93 ml) of bentonite clay, 1 tsp. (4.93 ml) of powdered psyllium (not whole psyllium seeds or un-powdered husks), and 1/2 tsp. (2.46 ml) of ginger powder with 1 cup (250 ml) of organic apple juice.

Shake the mixture well until all of the lumps are dissolved. Drink the shake immediately before the psyllium makes the mixture become gooey. Do not consume any food within 2 hours before or after drinking the shake because the food will be absorbed by the clay. Do not drink more than 5 shakes a day.

Drink 1 cup (250 ml) of filtered water immediately after drinking the shake.

Master Cleanser:

Mix 2 tbsp. (29.57 ml) of organic lemon juice, 2 tbsp. (29.57 ml) of organic maple syrup (grade B), 1/10 tsp. (.49 ml) of ground cayenne pepper, and 10 oz. (.3 l) of clean, filtered water.

Drink this mixture 5 to 15 times per day for a minimum of 10 days. Do not consume any other food or liquid while doing this cleanse.

Drink a laxative tea each night and 34 oz (1 l) of salt water each morning.

Continue the cleanse until your tongue no longer has the white coating that occurs when toxins are being eliminated from the body.


Colon cleansers flush out both good bacteria and bad bacteria, so it is often recommended that you supplement your diet with a good probiotic when cleansing.

Diet plays an essential role in maintaining colon health. Consume 20 to 35 g of fiber daily from cereal, whole grains, fruit, vegetable and oatmeal. Drink plenty of fluids and limit your intake of alcohol and red meat.
