!2017 – Lesson Well Learned_5: Embarrassed

reBlogged: 170329tko.

A young lady was waiting for her flight in the Boarding Room of a big airport. As she would need to wait many hours, she decided to buy a book to spend her time, and also bought a packet of cookies. She then

sat down in an armchair, in the VIP room of the airport, to rest and read in peace.
Beside the armchair, where the packet of cookies lay, a man sat down in the next

seat, opened his magazine and started reading. When she took out the first cookie,

the man took one also. She felt irritated, but said nothing. She just thought “What a nerve! If I was in the mood, I would punch

him for daring!” And, for each cookie she took,

the man took one too.
This was infuriating her, but she didn’t want to cause a scene. When only one cookie remained, she thought: “Ah… what would

this abusive man do now?” Then, the man, taking the last cookie, divided it into half, giving her one half.
What? That was too much! She was much too angry now! In a huff, she insulted the man, took her book and her things, and stormed out to the boarding place. When she sat down in her seat, inside the plane, she looked into her bag, to take her eyeglasses and, to her

surprise, her packet of cookies was there, untouched, and unopened! She felt so ashamed! She realized that she was wrong. She had forgotten that her cookies were in her bag. The man had shared his cookies with her, without feeling angered or bitter, while she

had been very angry, thinking that she was sharing her own cookies with him. And now, there was no chance to explain herself…nor to apologize!
In life, there are 4 things that you cannot recover…

1. The cake… after it’s eaten!

2. The word… after it’s spoken!

3. The occasion… after it’s lost!

4. The time… after it’s spent!

Let’s all be careful and watch our ATTITUDE ALWAYS.

!2017 – Don’t Ruin Your Marriage Relationship

5 ways you are unknowingly destroying your husband and killing your marriage

You might be surprised to figure out you are doing these five destructive things that will ultimately ruin your relationship with your spouse.

15,460,075 views   |   61,959 shares

  • When I got married, I was amazed at the instant, overwhelming sense of responsibility I felt to love and care for my husband. Suddenly, a huge part of someone else’s well-being and happiness was largely affected by my choices and actions.

Women, we need to be careful about how we are caring for our husbands and marriages. Don’t let the small stuff ruin the things that will bring you the greatest happiness in life.

Here are just a few ways you might be unknowingly destroying your husband and killing your marriage (as a caveat, please understand that although this article is directed toward women, it applies to men as well):

  • 1. Living outside of what you can afford

A wise old woman from my church congregation once advised: “The best thing you can do as a wife is to live within your husband’s means.”

Wives, show sincere appreciation and respect to your husband by carefully following a budget and making the most of what you have. Be wise about your finances.

Constantly complaining about not having enough to fulfill your lavish desires or racking up astronomical amounts of debt on your credit card is a poor way of saying “thank you” to a faithful spouse who works hard every day to provide for the family.

Yes, you may not have enough to buy that Kate Spade bag you’ve had your eyes on for months, but your husband will love and appreciate the fact that you honor him and are grateful for what he provides.

  • 2. Constant negativity

You hate your hair, the messes around the house, the neighbor across the street, your dumb co-worker, the old dishwasher, and everything in between. As soon as your husband walks through the door, you launch into action and dump every negative and angry thought that’s crossed your mind throughout the day.

Can you imagine having to carry that burden? Negativity is draining. Men like to fix things, and constantly being hounded with complaints makes it difficult for him to help solve your pains.

If there is one thing I’ve learned from marriage is that a good man wants you to be happy, and if he can’t help you do that, it makes him unhappy. It’s okay to have a bad day once in a while, that’s totally understandable, but don’t make it a way of life.

  • 3. Putting everything else first

When your children, mom, best friends, talents, or career in front of your husband, you send a clear message to him that he is unimportant. Imagine having that message sent to you every day for many years. What would that do to your self esteem?

    Put your husband first.

Although it sometimes seems counter-intuitive and counterproductive, I think you’d be amazed to find that it’s often the key to the greatest happiness in marriage. So many couples get divorced these days, because they neglect to care and love one another and put each other first.

If you choose to put each other first, you will find a lot of joy.

Read4 key reasons why it matters to put your spouse before your children

  • 4. Withholding physical affection

Men crave and need physical affection with their wives. When you constantly decline intimacy, it wears on them.

Sex should not be used as a tool to control your spouse; it should be viewed as a sacred tool to draw you closer to one another and to God.

It is a great blessing to be wanted and needed by a loving, romantic husband who wants to share something so beautiful and important with you — and you only. Even though you might not always be in the mood, it’s worth it to give in (when you can) and spend that time bonding.

  • 5. Not speaking his language

Women love to drop hints. (I think it’s part of our DNA.) But men just don’t get them. (I think that is a part of their DNA.)

Don’t waste your time giving subtle hints that he won’t understand: Speak plainly to him. Be honest about your feelings, and don’t bottle things up until you burst. If he asks you what’s wrong, don’t respond with “nothing” and then expect him to read your mind and emotions. Be open about how you really feel.

!2017 – 8 Things men ONLY do with the woman they love.

reBlogged: 170327tko.

Don’t second-guess if your man loves you. Read these signs and know for sure.

377,783 views   |   1,489 shares

  • Men and women show that they care in very different ways. If a man is willing to publicly display his love for a woman, he is not messing around. It takes extreme vulnerability for a man to show and express exactly what he is feeling on such a large scale.

ReadThe most overlooked characteristic of who you want to marry

There are at least 8 things a man will only do for the woman he sincerely loves.

  • 1. He listens

If you ever think that men sometimes behave like children, you’re not entirely wrong. Most men only concentrate on things they are passionate about. If they love you, your voice is music to their ears and all you have to do is say something that really matters and they are hooked.

The man who really loves you will not only hear you but will pay attention to your words. You will notice that he follows your advice and respects your thoughts.

  • 2. He fights with you

Yes, that is correct. Fights are not always a sign that the relationship is going through a bad time. If he truly loves you and is invested in your relationship, he will take the time to fight, discuss and find solutions for your relationship. Occasional discussions are a sign that he wants to make things work. You want to find a middle ground where you both can be happy.

  • 3. He makes sacrifices for your happiness

This is one of the biggest signs that a man loves a woman. If he changes his plans from something he would like to do for something he knows would make you happy, he is showing that he loves and respects you and is willing to always put you first.

  • 4. He fights for your love

A man in love will take the punches as they come and fight to keep your love. He will weather the coldest winters and the rainiest spring showers just to be with you. A man in love feels lucky to have you in his life and makes it known that losing you is the last thing he would ever want.

  • 5. He’s proud of your achievements

When a man loves a woman, everything she does feels like his own achievements. It’s almost like the pride a mother feels when their child does something kind or new for the first time. A man in love does not compete with the woman he loves, a man in love wins with the woman he loves.

  • 6. He thinks you look beautiful even on your worst days

A few weeks ago, one of my coworkers had a cold sore on her top lip. She did not feel comfortable enough to meet her boyfriend that day because she did not want him to see her like that. However, after gathering the opinion of the whole office, the consensus was that if she met up with him with the sore and he did not care, it would be a sign that he was really interested in her for her and not just her looks. When a man really loves a woman, she always looks beautiful no matter what.

  • 7. He cares about your family and friends because you do

A man in love understands that the people you love are important to you, and if they are happy, you will be too. If he loves you, he will patiently listen as you share detailed stories about your friends’ lives. He will recognize their importance in your life and will offer solutions to their problems with genuine interest.

ReadYour husband has 5 basic needs. Are you meeting them?

  • 8. He’s not afraid to be vulnerable

Men do not like to be vulnerable–ever–but if he loves you, he will not have a problem with showing you that he is afraid to lose you.

!2017 – Acholi History

reBlogged: 170325tko

Acholi History – Rwot OLYA (d.o.b unknown- died-15th Nov.1923)- The father was Otira and mother Latere, from Madi sub region.
He was Rwot of Atyak kingdom for 35 years, from 1885-1923, succeeding his father Otira.
When Rwot Awich was detained by the British Colonial Administration for the second time, Rwot Olya acted as Chairman of the All Acholi Council (Lukiko).
The Omukama of Bunyoro Kabalega took refuge in Olya’s palace at Lagaya from 1896 to January 1898. Again just as in the case of Rwot Awich, Rwot Olya was guided by the same long held Acholi believe in the sanctity of life. He gave asylum to the Omukama unconditionally.
However, In January 1898, Omukama Kabalega on his own accord gave up asylum life and was on his way back home. Unfortunately when he was travelling through Lango, near Kangai he was betrayed by some individuals in thr area. They revealed his hideout to the colonial administration. Having obtained information as to his whereabouts, on 9th April 1899 he was shot and wounded, then arrested by Colonel Colville. Soon after that he and King Mwanga of Buganda were deported to the Seychelles Island.  After 24 years in exile in the Seychelles he was released and came back to Uganda only to die in Jinja on 6th April, 1923, without setting foot ever again in Bunyoro. Again like Rwot Awich one can see that Rwot Olya also respected the right of asylum seekers, which as aforesaid has since 1948 become the corner stone of UN Convention of Human Rights, i.e. that someone who has a genuine fear of persecution if he were to be sent back to his/her country of origin ought not to be sent back where he/she faces persecution and possible death.
In 1908, when the District headquarters was still at Nimule, the Resident D C, Mr Guy Eden was desperately in need of starting a Police Force, but all the clan leaders failed to recruit a single person. Even Atyiak people refused to answer their Rwot’s appeal for youngsters to join the Police Service.  Rwot Olya was therefore left with no choice but to offer his own son and heir apparent Abuga and two other persons from his kingdom, Boki and Yol. This three men became the first Acholi to join the Uganda Police Force, a service which at the time and up until after independence was not thought of highly, especially south of the country, as they preferred white colour jobs to uniform services. However after independence uniform services became the envy of many across the country. This act of nationalism and self-sacrifice endeared Rwt Olya permanently to the colonial authority.
In 1914: As Chairman of All Acholi Council of Chiefs Rwot Olya, as leader of the council was instrumental in promulgating the first Local Government by-law, regulating the amount payable for bride price to two cattle and one goat. Acholi youths and parents alike were said to have been overjoyed by the new byelaw, because the unregulated bride price was escalating to a point which was putting customary marriage in jeopardy and well beyond the reach of many young suitors. This achievement was acknowledged by non-other than another Acholi hero and an internationally acclaimed literary genius the late Dr Okot P’Bitek in his novel  “Lak Tar” first written in Acholi language in 1953 and more recently translated into English under the title “White teeth”. In his Acknowledgement page of “White Teeth” Dr P’Bitek writes thus, “An Acholi Chief, Rwot Olya of Atyiak, made a historic mark in his attempt to limit the ever increasing demand of bride wealth when he made a decree throughout Acholiland limiting bride price to two cows and two goats”. It does not matter that other sources say one rather than two goats, a minor discrepancy, in my opinion.

!2017 – Microwave Oven Dangers to Human Health

reBlogged: 170326tko
NaturalNews) Nary is there a human being on Earth who doesn’t know that microwave ovens irradiate food, destroy nutrition and are hazardous to your health, but for so many, the convenience of them wins the battle, and you can find a “nuker” (radiation oven) in more than 90% of U.S. homes and in most office “break rooms” across the globe. Having a microwave oven is almost as common place as having a television.

What hardly any person knows is that metals in the body, including in dental fillings, can expand and cause chronic pain and damage, in ways nobody is even thinking about, including doctors. Plus, when those metals expand, they can release toxins into the blood, like mercury. This is worth considering.

Where do you stand when something is cooking in a microwave oven? How close are you to it? Do you wait for say, the last 20 to 30 seconds, right in front of the door, ready to pop it open, as if it’s safe as long as the door is closed? Who told you that?

To appreciate the damage that’s being done to humans by microwave ovens, one first must understand how microwave ovens actually work, and then you can apply that to the effects on your mercury amalgam dental fillings, your rods, pins, screws and metal plates that repaired broken bones and, of course, pacemakers.

How microwave ovens work and why you shouldn’t even be in the room

“Nukers,” as many call them, produce microwave radiation that interacts with molecules in food. That wave “energy” changes the polarity of those molecules from positive to negative with each cycle of the wave, at millions of times per second. This severe agitation (and friction) bombards the food and forcefully deforms it. The scientific name for this is “structural isomerism.”

You’ve heard of radiation from the conventional treatments, especially in the USA, that are given to cancer patients to attempt to destroy cancer cells. Yet, radiation itself is the result of nuclear decay. A microwave oven decays the molecular structure of food, and the packaging of that food leaches toxins into the food, like BPA, and that’s just the beginning of the damage being inflicted. Think about what happens outside of that oven, within 10 to 20 feet, to a person’s “organic” self, including metals that can expand from those “rays.” Do you think the cheap plastic door on your microwave oven is protecting you, containing all of that activity? Do you get headaches and body aches in specific places from “hanging around,” waiting for your food to finish being nuked? Does your jaw hurt on the side where you have mercury amalgam fillings? Do your bones and muscles hurt where you’ve broken them in the past and had reconstructive surgery, especially with metal rods and pins? Maybe you got titanium and you think you’re safe. It’s time to figure it out!

Aluminum and silver expansion

Composite dental fillings often contain acrylate, aluminum, formaldehyde, hexane, polyurethane, strontium, mercury and copper. Aluminum makes the composite filling last longer. These composites bind to the tooth structure. Amalgam is just the generic term applied to the silver-mercury type of filling, which is still very common in 2014. Silver has been used for over 150 years and is inexpensive for dentists to use. The materials alone only cost about one dollar. Your nerve tissue and your kidneys are at high risk from exposure to mercury, which could be releasing from your fillings when the aluminum expands in your teeth while you’re camped out next to the running microwave oven. Mercury has been proven to cause brain damage in children and is linked to neurological and gastrointestinal problems, not to mention Alzheimer’s disease. Plus, since the 1970s, non-gamma-2 (high copper) fillings release many more times mercury vapor than the older style of amalgam.

Run from the “nuker”

Studies already show that simply brushing and chewing can cause the release of significant amounts of mercury from fillings, so when microwave ovens are expanding your fillings, think about the repercussions. This mercury can build up in the brain, pituitary and adrenal glands, and other parts of the body. Do you have IBS and use a microwave? Does someone you know have Parkinson’s disease after having owned and used a microwave oven for years? Are you pregnant and living in a home with a nuker?

Alert! Amalgam fillings (mercury) react to microwave ovens!

If you have mercury amalgam fillings, have them removed safely by a holistic dentist as soon as possible and replace them with biocompatible materials. There are safe alternatives. Then, throw away the microwave oven; that way, you won’t have to run the other direction every time it’s running. Remember, rods, pins and steel plates react to microwave ovens, and people with pacemakers should never be even remotely near a radiation oven. Use common sense and heat your food in a safe pot or pan. Trust me, it’s worth the wait.

!2017 – Hydrogen Peroxide

reBlogger: 170319tko.
//—–reBlogger: 170319tko.—–

Most People Don’t Know These 28 Brilliant Benefits & Uses for Hydrogen Peroxide

by ANDREA HARPER & DR. AKILAH EL

Hydrogen peroxide is the only germicidal agent composed only of water and oxygen. Like ozone, it kills disease organisms by oxidation! Hydrogen peroxide is considered the worlds safest all natural effective sanitizer. It kills microorganisms by oxidizing them, which can be best described as a controlled burning process. When hydrogen peroxide reacts with organic material it breaks down into oxygen and water.

Whiten Clothes – An Alternative to Bleach

Add a cup of Peroxide to white clothes in your laundry to whiten them. Peroxide is great to get rid of blood stains on clothes and carpets. If there is blood on clothing, just pour directly on the spot, let it sit for about a minute, then rub and rinse with cold water. Repeat if necessary.

Health:

Your body makes hydrogen peroxide to fight infection which must be present for our immune system to function correctly. White blood cells are known as Leukocytes. A sub-class of Leukocytes called Neutrophils produce hydrogen peroxide as the first line of defense against toxins, parasites, bacteria, viruses and yeast.

Rejuvenating Detoxifying Bath:

Use about 2 quarts 3% hydrogen peroxide to a tub of warm water. Soak at least 1/2 hour, adding hot water as needed to maintain a comfortable water temperature.

Foot Fungus:

To cure a foot fungus, simply spray a 50/50 mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water on them (especially the toes) every night and let dry.

Douche:

Add 2 capfuls of 3% hydrogen peroxide in warm distilled water once to twice a week to remove even chronic yeast infections.

Colonic or Enema:

For a colonic, add 1 cup (8 ozs.) 3% H202 to 5 gallons warm water. (Do not exceed this amount) For an enema, add 1 tablespoon of 3% H202 to a quart of warm distilled water.

Infections:

Soak any infections or cuts in 3% for five to ten minutes several times a day. Even gangrene that would not heal with any medicine has been healed by soaking in hydrogen peroxide. Put half a bottle of hydrogen peroxide in your bath to help rid boils, fungus or other skin infections.

Bird Mite Infections:

Patients infected by tiny mites report that hydrogen peroxide effectively kills the mites on their skins. They spray it on their skin a couple of times (with a few minutes in between the applications) with amazing results.

Sinus Infections:

A tablespoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide added to 1 cup of non-chlorinated water can be used as a nasal spray. Depending on the degree of sinus involvement, one will have to adjust the amount of peroxide used.

Wound Care:

3% H2O2 is used medically for cleaning wounds, removing dead tissue, and as an oral debriding agent. Peroxide stops slow (small vessel) wound bleeding/oozing, as well.

Some sources recommend soaking infections or cuts for five to ten minutes several times a day. However, washing and rinsing action is sufficient. You shouldn’t leave the solution on open tissue for extended periods of time as, like many oxidative antiseptics, hydrogen perioxide causes mild damage to tissue in open wounds. Therefore it is important to use with caution.

Personal Care:

Mouthwash / Tooth Care:

Healing Properties: Take one capful (the little white cap that comes with the bottle) and hold in your mouth for 10 minutes daily, then spit it out. You will not have canker sores and your teeth will be whiter. If you have a terrible toothache and cannot get to a dentist right away, put a capful of 3% hydrogen peroxide into your mouth and hold it for 10 minutes several times a day. The pain will lessen greatly.

Mouthwash: Many people don’t realize that hydrogen peroxide makes a very effective and inexpensive mouthwash. Use 3% H202 – add a dash of liquid chlorophyll for flavoring if desired.

Toothpaste: Use baking soda and add enough 3% H202 to make a paste. Or, just dip your brush in 3% H202 and brush. Soak your toothbrush in hydrogen peroxide to keep them free of germs.

Toothbrush:

Soaking your toothbrush in hydrogen peroxide will help keep them free of harmul germs.
Tooth Ache: Hydrogen peroxide is not a pain killer; however, as an anti-viral, antibacterial and anti-fungal agent, it is effective at treating the pathogen that is causing the infection. The following is from my own personal experience: My dentist wanted to give me a root canal some time ago as one tooth was inflamed and, in her opinion, would die. I felt some discomfort but told her that I would give it chance to heal. I rinsed with hydrogen peroxide (several times a day) as well ascoconut oil (once a day). The discomfort went away and I have had no further problems with the tooth.

Tooth Whitening: Having used 3% Hydrogen Peroxide as a mouth wash for sometime ago, I am thrilled to note that my teeth have been beautifully and effortlessly whitened. I used to pay so much for professional whitening, those silly strips and uncomfortable trays. Live and learn.

NOTE: Do not swallow any peroxide. When the peroxide rinse is done, be sure to rinse out your mouth with water.

Colonic or Enema:

For a colonic, add 1 cup (8 ozs.) 3% H202 to 5 gallons warm water. (Do not exceed this amount) For an enema, add 1 tablespoon of 3% H202 to a quart of warm distilled water.

Hair Lightening:

Peroxide is a bleaching agent and is used for lightened hair. Dilute 3% hydrogen peroxide with water (50 / 50) and spray the solution on your wet hair after a shower and comb it through. You will not have the peroxide burnt blonde hair like the hair dye packages, but more natural highlights if your hair is a light brown, faddish, or dirty blonde. It also lightens gradually so it’s not a drastic change.

Contact Lenses:

Hydrogen peroxide is used as a disinfectant in CIBA Vision’s Clear Care no rub contact lens cleaning solution, due to its ability to break down the proteins that build up on the lense from the eye’s immune response, resulting in increased comfort for those with sensitive eyes.

Sanitizing / Disinfectant / Cleaning

Straight or Diluted Hydrogen Peroxide:

Clean your counters and table tops with hydrogen peroxide to kill germs and leave a fresh smell. Simply put a little on your dishrag when you wipe, or spray it on the counters. Use hydrogen peroxide to clean glass and mirrors with no smearing.

Keep a spray bottle of 3% (straight) to disinfect the interior of the refrigerator and kids’ school lunch boxes.

In the Dishwasher:

Add 2 oz. of 3% hydrogen peroxide to your regular washing formula.
Fill a spray bottle with a 50/50 mixture of 3% hydrogen peroxide and water and keep it in every bathroom to disinfect without harming your septic system like bleach or most other disinfectants will. After rinsing off your wooden cutting board, pour or spray hydrogen peroxide (and then vinegar) on it to kill salmonella and other bacteria.

I use peroxide to clean my mirrors with, there is no smearing.

Combination of vinegar and hydrogen peroxidemake a cheap, effective and non-toxic disinfectant agent and is said to be more effective at killing pathogens than bleach. As it is non-toxic, you can use it to disinfect fruits and vegetables, as well as pet toys, equipment and cages. In tests run at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, pairing Vinegar and Hydrogen Peroxide mists, kills virtually all Salmonella, Shigella, or E. coli bacteria on heavily contaminated food and surfaces.

Directions:

You need TWO spray bottles. DO NOT MIX the solutions together. Put straight vinegar in one and straight hydrogen peroxide in the other spray bottle. NOTE: Light destroys peroxide rather quickly. It’s best to leave it in its original bottle and screw in a spray head. DO NOT DILUTE THEM.

Remember for any sanitizer to work properly, the surface has to be clean before you use it.

When you want to sanitize a surface (vegetables, cutting board, counters, sink, cages, toys. toilets, floors, etc.), spray one (it doesn’t matter which one you use first) on the surface, then you spray on the other. When they mix, for a brief time the chemical action of the two make a very powerful sanitizer. You can rinse off the surface afterwards, if you want, but the result is non-toxic.
Fortunately it is cheap. BTW, we use it in the bathroom to sanitize the counters, toilets, floors, etc.

Sanitizing Drinking Water

Mold:

Clean with hydrogen peroxide when your house becomes a biohazard after its invaded by toxic mold, such as those with water damage.

Humidifiers/Steamers:

Use 1 pint 3% hydrogen peroxide to 1 gallon of water.

Laundry / Stain Removing:

Stain Remover:

3% Hydrogen Peroxide is the best stain lifter if used fairly soon – although blood stains as old as 2 days have been successfully lifted with Hydrogen Peroxide. Although it will bleach or discolor many fabrics. If a little peroxide is poured onto the stain it will bubble up in the area of the blood, due to a reaction with catalase. After a few minutes the excess liquid can be wiped up with a cloth or paper towel and the stain will be gone.

3% H2O2 must be applied to clothing before blood stains can be accidentally “set” with heated water. Cold water and soap are then used to remove the peroxide treated blood.

Washing/Laundry:

You can also add a cup of hydrogen peroxide instead of bleach to a load of whites in your laundry to whiten them. If there is blood on clothing, pour directly on the soiled spot. Let it sit for a minute, then rub it and rinse with cold water. Repeat if necessary.

Peroxide is a perfect alternate solution to keep those clothes white. Also, when chlorinating clothes, they tend to wear out faster – peroxide won’t do that.

Food Preparation:

Vegetable Soak:

Use as a vegetable wash or soak to kill bacteria and neutralize chemicals. Add 1/4 cup 3% H202 to a full sink of cold water. Soak light skinned (light lettuce) 20 minutes, thicker skinned (like cucumbers) 30 minutes. Drain, dry and refrigerate. Prolongs freshness.

If time is a problem, spray vegetables (and fruits) with a solution of 3%. Let stand for a few minutes, rinse and dry.

Meat Sanitizing:

You can also use it to rinse off your meat before cooking.

Leftover tossed salad:

Spray with a solution of 1/2 cup water and 1 Tbsp. 5%. Drain, cover and refrigerate.

Marinade:

Place meat, fish or poultry in a casserole (avoid using aluminum pans). Cover with a dilute solution of equal parts of water and 3% H202. Place loosely covered in refrigerator for 1/2 hour. Rinse and cook.

Sprouting Seeds:

Add 1 ounce 3% hydrogen peroxide to 1 pint of water and soak the seeds overnight. Add the same amount of hydrogen peroxide each time you rinse the seeds.

Grades of Hydrogen Peroxide

A) 3.5% Pharmaceutical Grade: This is the grade sold at your local drugstore or supermarket. This product is not recommended for internal use. It contains an assortment of stabilizers which shouldn’t be ingested. Various stabilizers include: acetanilide, phenol, sodium stanate and tertrasodium phosphate.
B) 6% Beautician Grade: This is used in beauty shops to color hair and is not recommended for internal use.
C) 30% Reagent Grade: This is used for various scientific experimentation and also contains stabilizers. It is also not for internal use.
D) 30% to 32% Electronic Grade: This is used to clean electronic parts and not for internal use.
E) 35% Technical Grade: This is a more concentrated product than the Reagent Grade and differs slightly in that phosphorus is added to help neutralize any chlorine from the water used to dilute it.
F) 35% Food Grade: This is used in the production of foods like cheese, eggs, and whey-containing products. It is also sprayed on the foil lining of aseptic packages containing fruit juices and milk products. THIS IS THE ONLY GRADE RECOMMENDED FOR INTERNAL USE.
G) 90%: This is used as an oxygen source for rocket fuel.

Only 35% Food Grade hydrogen peroxide is recommended for internal use. At this concentration, however, hydrogen peroxide is a very strong oxidizer and if not diluted, it can be extremely dangerous or even fatal. Any concentrations over 10% can cause neurological reactions and damage to the upper gastrointestinal tract. There have been two known fatalities in children who ingested 27% and 40% concentrations of H202. Another reports tells of a 26 month old female who swallowed one mouthful of 35% H202. She immediately began vomiting, followed by fainting and respiratory arrest. Fortunately, she was under emergency room care and although she experienced erosion and bleeding of the stomach and esophagus, she survived the incident. When she was re-examined 12 days later, the areas involved had healed (J Toxicol Clin Toxicol 90;28(1):95-100).

Personal note: As with ANY food, drug, or supplement, using the product according to instructions is key to safety. If someone uses too much, then of course ramifications may be felt. We’ve NEVER heard of ANY harmful side effects from thecorrect usage of Food Grade hydrogen peroxide. In dire cases of disease, intraveneous use may be recommended. If you would like to find a doctor in your area trained in the use of intravenous H202 infusion, contact the International Bio-Oxidative Medicine Foundation (IBOM), P.O. Box 13205, Oklahoma City, OK 73113 at (405) 478-4266. They can provide names and addresses of doctors using the procedure in your area.

35% Food Grade H202 must be….
1) handled carefully (direct contact will burn the skin- immediate flushing with water is recommended).
2) diluted properly before use.
3) stored safely and properly (after making a dilution the remainder should be stored tightly sealed in the freezer).
One of the most convenient methods of dispensing 35% H202 is from a small glass eye dropper bottle. These can be purchased at your local drugstore. Fill this with the 35% H202 and store the larger container in the freezer compartment of your refrigerator until more is needed. Store the eye dropper bottle in the refrigerator. The generally recommended dosage is outlined in the chart below.
The drops are mixed with either 6 to 8 ounces of distilled water, juice, aloe vera juice or gel.

(Don’t use chlorinated tap water to dilute the peroxide!)

Hydrogen Peroxide for Colds and Flu

Email from Wendy Fyfe, Subscriber
Brush, Colorado

“Thanks to one of your articles in your newsletter about using peroxide in the ears for flu or colds, my family and I have had a relatively flu/cold free winter! We have been exposed to a serious flu in our area, but have managed to dodge it. Here are some specifics:

My 6-year-old son had kept me up during one night with coughing and sneezing. By noon the next day he had a fever. I then remembered recently reading in your newsletter about using three drops of peroxide in each ear for 10 minutes.

You should have seen his face when I told him I was going to put peroxide in his ears! He was nervous, but soon settled down. It bubbled a lot in both ears. I did only one treatment in each ear, and from then on, his fever went away and his symptoms were reduced to the sniffles. That night he slept well, as did mom. The cold did not return!

Next came myself. About a week later I felt like my head was in a ‘fog,’ a familiar fog that is a sure sign I am going to get sick with a bad cold or flu. I used the peroxide treatment in each ear and went to bed about an hour early. The next morning I felt fantastic! Not a trace of illness.

Again about a week after I had felt something coming on, my husband started feeling ‘ugh.’ I told him about the peroxide and he looked at me skeptically. But he tried it. And it worked! He works for the school district in the bus shop and is around the drivers (who are around all those kids passing germs about) frequently.

At the same time my 10-year-old son who is rarely sick said he didn’t feel well. I wasn’t sure if he was saying that because he felt left out (the peroxide treatment aroused his interest), or if he really was coming down with something. So, I gave him a treatment, not seeing that any harm would come of it. He had strong bubbling on one side. He soon felt better and did not become ill.

The peroxide has been used a few other times on all of us with almost amazing results. There was a different result in one case, which had to do with myself. It had been a couple of weeks from my first use of the peroxide on myself.

I came home from our local library book sale, which was held in the basement. I quickly became ill, as if allergic to something in the basement, of which this was my first time down there. By the next morning I had a full-fledged cold and felt awful. I tried the peroxide.

Although I had to repeat the peroxide treatment about every 4 hours, the peroxide alone relieved my symptoms! I was a bit tired, but other than that, no sneezing, coughing, fever, etc. After about 4 hours I would feel pressure building in my head (especially the ears) and I would begin to get quite cranky. Then I would use the peroxide again and be much better.

The peroxide allowed me to maintain my schedule of homeschooling the boys and doing my chores. It worked better than anything I have tried over the years and had no side effects!

A few notes: the peroxide feels like ice when it is dropped into the ear! It usually did not sting. The hardest thing for me to get used to was the tickling of the bubbles!

Thank you again for the information on peroxide for flus and colds. This wife and mom has had many peaceful nights thanks to you! Thank you also for ALL the fantastic information that you pass along in your newsletter. If it weren’t for you, how would we know of these things?!?

Last fall I started using EFT and am very pleased with the results and that I have such a useful tool for others and myself. I learned of it through you. You have made a difference in many lives.”

By Dr. Mercola

You probably know that I don’t advise over-the-counter medications in general, but the hydrogen peroxide treatment referred to by Wendy Frye in the above email she sent to me is surprisingly effective against upper respiratory infections. Many patients at my clinic have had remarkable results in curing colds and flu within 12 to 14 hours when administering a few drops of three percent hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) into each ear.

This is really easy to do. All you need to do is use regular hydrogen peroxide that you purchase for about $1 in nearly any pharmacy or grocery store. It is not necessary to dilute it. What I do is take the cap off the bottle and fill the cap with peroxide. This is about the amount that fills your ear canal.

You will hear some bubbling, which is completely normal, and possibly feel a slight stinging sensation. Wait until the bubbling and stinging subside (usually 5 to 10 minutes), then drain onto a tissue or the sink and repeat with the other ear. A bottle of hydrogen peroxide in 3 percent solution is available at any drug store for a couple of dollars or less. This seems to be effective about 80 percent of the time, especially if done when your symptoms first appear. If you fail to start it as soon as the symptoms appear it will likely not work.

In 1928, Richard Simmons, M.D. hypothesized that colds and flu viruses enter through your ear canal, as opposed to your nose and throat. But his findings were dismissed by the medical community. Then in 1938, German researchers had great success using hydrogen peroxide for treating colds and the flu. But their data has been ignored for over 60 years.

Of course, the best way to treat a cold is to not get one in the first place. And the key to preventing colds is to keep your immune system strong and healthy.

Prevention of Colds Is the Key

Cold viruses are all around you, living on your computer keyboard, coffee mugs, door handles and other objects for hours, so coming into contact with them is part of daily living. However, the key to remember is that just being exposed to a cold virus does not mean you’ll catch a cold. If your immune system is operating at its peak, it should actually be quite easy for you to fend off those viruses without getting sick. On the other hand, if your immune system is impaired, they’ll easily take hold in your body.

The major reasons your immune system becomes weakened and you come down with a cold are:

Vitamin D Deficiency: A Major Risk Factor for ‘Catching’ a Cold

It’s estimated that the average U.S. adult typically has two to four colds each year, while children may have up to 12. One reason for the widespread prevalence may be that vitamin D deficiency is incredibly common in the United States, especially during the winter months when cold (and flu) viruses are at their peak.

Research has confirmed that “catching” colds and flu may actually be a symptom of an underlying vitamin D deficiency. The research is quite clear: less than optimal vitamin D levels will significantly impair your immune response and make you far more susceptible to contracting colds, influenza, and other respiratory infections. Vitamin D is an amazingly effective antimicrobial agent, producing 200 to 300 different antimicrobial peptides in your body that kill bacteria, viruses, and fungi.

The best source for vitamin D is direct sun exposure. But for many of us, this just isn’t practical during the winter. The next best option to sunlight is the use of a safe indoor tanning device. If neither natural nor artificial sunlight is an option, then using oral vitamin D3 supplements is your best bet. If you wish to take an oral vitamin D3 supplement, follow my dose recommendations, based on the latest scientific research. The only way to establish that you are taking your optimal dose is to get your blood tested. Ideally, you’ll want to maintain a vitamin D level of 50-70 ng/ml year-round.

For an in-depth explanation of everything you need to know about vitamin D, please refer to my FREE one-hour vitamin D lecture.

How You Can Get Well Faster

Most uncomplicated colds last between eight and nine days, but about 25 percent last two weeks, and five to 10 percent last three weeks. Even the most stubborn colds will typically resolve in a few weeks’ time. This is actually one of the ways you can distinguish a cold from allergies—a cold will last, at most, a few weeks, but allergy symptoms can last all season.

A slight fever will actually help you to feel better sooner. Cold viruses cannot reproduce at higher body temperatures. Therefore, popping over-the-counter cold remedies or fever reducers is counterproductive to recovering quickly. In fact, as long as your temperature remains below 102 degrees Fahrenheit (38.9 degrees Celsius), there is no need to lower it. Avoid taking over-the-counter painkillers as well as they tend to suppress your body’s natural antibody production.

One of the most effective ways to prevent spread of infection is to practice good hand washing techniques, without overdoing it. Over washing can lead to cracked skin, which is counterproductive. Use plain soap and water, not antibacterial cleansers, which can lead to resistant bacteria, or “superbugs.” For specific dietary strategies, including natural supplements, for cold prevention and treatment, refer to my comprehensive article about combating colds and flu.

When Should You Call Your Physician?

Remember that antibiotics are completely ineffective against cold and flu viruses, so avoid them—they will do more harm than good. Sinus, ear, and lung infections (bronchitis and pneumonia) on the other hand are examples of bacterial infections that DO respond to antibiotics. If you develop any of the following symptoms, these are signs you may be suffering from a bacterial infection rather than a cold virus, and you should call your physician’s office:

  • Fever over 102 degrees Fahrenheit (38.9 degrees Celsius)
  • Ear pain
  • Pain around your eyes, especially with a green nasal discharge
  • Shortness of breath or a persistent uncontrollable cough
  • Persistently coughing up green and yellow sputum

Generally speaking, if you have a cold, medical care is not necessary. Rest and attention to the lifestyle factors noted above will help you to recover quickly and, if you stick to them, will significantly reduce your chances of catching another one anytime soon.

!2017 – 1234 The Verge: 11 new trailers you should watch this week of 170317

reBlogger: 170318to.

Starz

I love the subtlety of its world building, too, the way you’re able to grasp the backstory of the crashed ship and the malevolent corporation without much dialogue on them. Everything makes so much sense that it makes the one thing that doesn’t add up for me in this movie stand out even more: why on Earth would you build a self-destruct function into a spaceship? I just really don’t see that being useful.

Check out 11 trailers from this week below.

BABY DRIVER

Edgar Wright is back with Baby Driver, and it really doesn’t take long for this first trailer to catch your attention with a tense setup, Wright’s signature quick cuts, and some incredible car stunts. I’m hooked. The film comes out August 11th.

WONDER WOMAN

Wonder Woman’s latest trailer focuses on Diana Prince’s backstory, and it’s better off for it — the brighter, less dreary footage of her home really sets this film apart from the darkness of the rest of the DC universe, and it’s a nice reprieve. We’ll see how the rest plays out when it hits theaters on June 2nd.

THE IMMORTAL LIFE OF HENRIETTA LACKS

Oprah Winfrey stars in this exploration of the life and legacy of Henrietta Lacks, whose cells were harvested decades ago without her knowledge and now sit in research labs across the world for scientists to study their surprising property of endless regeneration. Winfrey plays Lacks’ daughter in this biopic, which comes to HBO on April 22nd.

AMERICAN GODS

I’m pretty sure anyone familiar withAmerican Gods is already hyped up for this, but as someone who doesn’t know the property, it’s trailers like this that are going to get me on board. Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller is behind the series, and his knack for creating brilliant, stylized worlds is on full show here. It looks pretty incredible. The series starts April 30th.

COCO

Pixar doesn’t have a lot of originals coming up, but it does have Coco. And this first trailer shows the studio introducing a new world that’s all at once kind of dark but still extremely bright and colorful. It’s an intriguing start. The film is scheduled for November 22nd.

MEGAN LEAVY

Kate Mara stars in this military drama about a soldier who fights to be reunited with a combat dog she bonded with after being dismissed from duty. The synopsis would sound a little too-well designed for a film if it weren’t for the fact that it actually happened — you can read about the real-life resolution here, if you’re interested. The film comes out June 9th.

TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT

Transformers seems to be trying for a Rey-like heroine with the character Izabella, who stars in this trailer with some tough but awkwardly straight to the camera dialogue that seems to have been recorded just for this preview. Still, the suggestion is that the series could be setting her up as a new star, and that certainly sounds more interesting than another outing with Mark Wahlberg. The movie comes out June 23rd.

DAVE CHAPPELLE

Netflix has a first real look out this week at Dave Chappelle’s two upcoming standup specials. It’s been a while since we’ve seen anything from Chappelle, but that ends when both hit the streaming service on March 21st.

BUSTER’S MAL HEART

It’s hard to tell what’s actually happening in this trailer, but Rami Malek seems to take on a number of strange roles including a tired office worker and a scraggly looking wanderer in Buster’s Mal Heart, which comes from director Sarah Adina Smith. And yes, there’s hacking. Maybe. Sort of. The film comes out April 28th.

MINDHORN

Mindhorn blends together a bunch of familiar cop procedural, spy drama, and action tropes for a ridiculous-looking comedy about a washed-up actor forced to participate in a crime investigation while staying in character. It comes out in the UK on May 5th.

THE DUNDEE PROJECT

Why is Justin Vernon narrating this?

!2017 – Scripture: The Lord’s Prayer in Print. Doxology

    reBlogger: 170313tko.

    The Lord’s Prayer in print

    a brief history

It is thought that Lord’s Prayer first came into print with the publishing of the Gutenberg Bible, which was developed between 1550 and 1555 in Germany, the prayer featuring in Matthew 6:9-13, and Luke 11:1-4. This was the first work of the Gutenberg printing press, and around 180 books were printed. The method used was a combination of Gutenberg’s revolutionary alloy type molds, with a new sort of ink (one which was made from made from oil rather than water based) printing on paper. (The idea of paper had been “imported” from the Chinese, via the Arabs).

The first printed version of the scriptures in the English language came with William Tyndale. In 1525, Tyndale began work on a translation of the New Testament. He then later completed an Old Testament translation, and it was these works that would become the basis for the publishing of the “Great Bible” in 1539. Two other versions in print were to follow – the Geneva Bible (popular amongst lay people) and the Bishops Bible (1568).

However, the Church of England felt that these versions were ultimately flawed because the texts did not square with the organisational leadership structure of the church (one of ordained clergy). To correct these (and other) problems from earlier versions, in 1604 King James of England convened the Hampton Court Conference, and commissioned what was to become the Authorized King James book of the bible, published in 1611. This was a landmark achievement and is still considered by many Christians to be the definitive version of the scriptures. It is this version that forms the basis for the traditional Lord’s prayer, found in Matthew’s Gospel. It should be noted that this version includes the doxology (“For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.”), words which are omitted in the Catholic version of the prayer
